It's Too Old to Grow Up's final episode of 2008 and we're taking a look at what we felt was our BEST OF 2008, there are a few no brainers in the lineup but also a few surprises as well, plus you'll hear from two of our dedicated listeners and find out what the listeners picks were as well. Episode 42 means its a 10 week countdown to the first anniversary of Too Old to Grow Up!

Thanks for listening in 2008 and we hope to entertain you in 2009, best wishes to you and your family, Happy New Year!

As of Episode 16 Too Old to Grow Up realized we outgrew the current situation for our recording. In the beginning we were simply just a small mixer and two microphones hooked up to my computer with an audio cable, we've grown big-time since then.

When Ken arrived to record episode 16 we realized there was just too much equipment to haul back and forth, and trying to hook everything up and troubleshoot was taking too much time. We now have the full gamut of equipment, a nice big mixer, four mics, wireless mics, headsets, USB connectors, audio programs and more.

So we've moved to Ken's house where I simply bring my mic stand and my laptop (for notes etc) and he hands me a mic and we're off and recording. Our Dreamcast look back was the first episode recorded at his house and it’s what I feel is one of our best, maybe it’s a nice tip of things to come.
Check us out; we're a sponsor for the Comic Geek Speak Super Show 08! You can find us on the sponsor page here.

We're pretty pumped about being one of the sponsors of the show this year and of course we're looking forward to heading out to the show on September 6th and 7th. As an extra treat we're planning to do two episodes while we're at the show, hopefully joining up with some forum members and having some fun. For sure we'll be joining up with Harold and Wayne to talk about their upcoming comic M.I.M.E.S. you can preorder the comic
here if you can't make it to Super Show.

We're looking forward to it, hopefully you are too!
Well we got the new mixer last week and had every intention of using it to great lengths on Sunday to record episode 11, alas we were foiled by static feedback that we couldn't eliminate. Since we don't get much time to get together before the shows are recorded and Logan has half the equipment and I have the other half we didn't get to do much testing until it was time to record, but we'll work out the kinks and hopefully be up and running with the new equipment soon.

In any case we saw Indy 4 on Sunday and thought it rocked, Carl (lracjones) joins us to discuss not only Indy 4 but the first three movies as well. It’s a cool discussion that may fill you in on some things you didn't know plus our thoughts on the original trilogy and how why we hope it doesn't continue a certain way.

So we've been to the movies twice this year so far (yeah it takes a lot to get us to the theater) after Iron Man and Indy 4 its Incredible Hulk up next for us, but not before our road trip to Wizard World Philly this weekend.

Speaking of Wizard World and recording equipment we may have to record the show literally on the road next week, should be fun, stick around and find out.
