This week on Too Old to Grow Up! Logan and I walk through our Summer Movie 2008 preview. What I'd like to touch on here is what the effect of a great summer of movies will have on the fall of 2008. I'm a big fan of DVD and have a pretty decent collection, not nearly as big as some I've seen but bigger than most of my friends. Before DVD came along I didn't buy nearly as many VHS tapes and when I did it was usually movies that I had already seen and loved in the theater. The concept of the "blind buy" was however introduced when DVD came into my life, since then it’s gone so far as now I can watch a trailer and already know if I'm going to buy the movie on DVD before even seeing it. In fact more or less over the years I've started skipping the theater (the middleman so to speak) and just picking up the movie on DVD.After looking at all the trailers for the upcoming summer movie I already know there are plenty of movies that will be added to the collection this fall, probably on Blu ray nonetheless. For the record The Dark Knight will be top of that list with movies like Iron Man and something called Indiana Jones right there with it. I'll wait until after episode three hits this Tuesday to give you all my fall DVD picks, in the meantime please share yours with us.
